Epic JHB surges ahead

Miles Donohoe - Account Director

Epic Communications has recorded tremendous growth since launching in Cape Town at the beginning of 2009. The opening of the Johannesburg office in the second half of 2010 marked a watershed moment, with the company establishing a national footprint.

Mirroring the wider success of Epic, the Joburg office has grown hugely since opening. In the last issue of Epic Times we mentioned the move to the prestigious Fredman Towers in Fredman Drive, in the heart of Sandton. Since this move, the office has won a number of new clients and has consequently grown its staff complement too.

-        Miles Donohoe has moved from Epic’s Cape Town office as Director of Epic Communications Johannesburg.

-        Dominique Netto has joined as Epic’s new Digital Strategist, driving new media campaigns across the Epic portfolio.

-        Kaylynn Smith has joined as an Account Executive working across a number of clients

-        Nondumiso Mpila has also joined as an Account Assistant.

With its achievements in a short space of time, our Johannesburg office has proven a natural evolution of the agency, establishing Epic Communications among the leaders of the PR and communications space in South Africa. On staff numbers alone, Epic now has more than 20 staff across both offices, placing it among the top 10 PR agencies in the country – and this growth is expected to continue with a number of new staff set to join in January 2012.

With the growth in the Joburg office also looking set to continue its strong start, we are confident we can provide clients with the national footprint required to match their own business interests.
